Rafael Benitez loves Arsene Wenger

Former Liverpool and Chelsea boss Benitez also heaped praise on Wenger and it was no surprise he puts the Arsenal boss ahead of his great rival Jose Mourinho.

Benitez said: "I'm expecting a strong team because I think Arsene Wenger is the best coach in the Premier League. They signed good players, at this point everything going well for them.

"Arsenal have a great manager, Liverpool continue growing, they are doing well. Other top sides are not at their level with new managers at the moment so it will be a question of time to see if five or six teams will be more or less the same.

"This will be tough for us. We played first game at home against Champions League finalists, a very tough game, this is different, and we play away against a team whose ball possession one of their strengths. We need to change approach."

Gervinho Wants Napoli To Beat Arsenal

Gervinho is trying so hard to settle in the country that he's even supporting Roma's rivals... against Arsenal. Speaking to the media yesterday he said

"I had lot of affinity with Wenger but more with Garcia. I wish good luck to Napoli vs Arsenal, hope Italians progress in Champions League."

Gervinho didn't feel that Arsene Wenger showed him the confidence he should have during his time in London and obviously wants to put that episode of his career behind him, publicly stating he wants Napoli to win is a bit much though.

Marouane Chamakh has joined Crystal Palace in a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old striker featured 67 times for Arsenal in his three years at the Club, scoring 14 goals.

After joining the Club in May 2010 from French side Bordeaux, Chamakh enjoyed a bright start to his Gunners career – finding the net on 10 occasions before Christmas in his debut season, but found first team opportunities limited in his second and third terms.

A Morocco international with 21 caps for his country, Chamakh spent the second half of last season on loan with West Ham United, making three appearances for the Hammers.
